World Cup 2023 Final: Global Leaders and High-Level Talks Mark the Event in Ahmedabad

In a momentous occasion, the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup Final between India and Australia will see the presence of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Australian Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles at the Ahmedabad stadium. The anticipation for this clash has prompted extensive security measures, with cooperation between the Defence Ministry and Gujarat police to ensure a smooth and incident-free event.

Highlighting the diplomatic significance, a bilateral meeting on defense cooperation is scheduled for November 20 between PM Modi and Deputy PM Marles, followed by the 2+2 Dialogue. Co-chaired by Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, and their Australian counterparts, this dialogue is expected to strengthen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between India and Australia.

The Ministry of Defence emphasized that the discussions will cover a wide range of mutual interests, fostering collaboration and bilateral defense cooperation. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel chaired a meeting to review security, cleanliness, and traffic management, with approximately 6,000 Gujarat police personnel deployed for security at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium.

Adding to the spectacle, the Indian Air Force’s Surya Kiran acrobatic team will perform a breathtaking air show between 1.30 pm and 1.50 pm, as per the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The Innings break promises live performances by music composer Pritam and renowned singers Jonita Gandhi, Nakash Aziz, Amit Mishra, Akasa Singh, and Tushar Joshi.

This event echoes a similar gathering in March when PM Modi and Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese watched the final Test match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. The World Cup Final becomes not only a cricket spectacle but also a platform for international dialogue and cultural exchange.
