The movie “Sam Bahadur” featuring Vicky Kaushal as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw releases song “Banda.” “Banda” is a song unmasked days before the movie’s release on 1 December 2023 with Vicky Kaushal playing the part that is Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.
The song is dedicated to the undying spirit of the army. It talks about how the soldiers put their lives at stake for their nation. The official music video of the song is sung by Shankar Mahadevan, composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, and with lyrics by Gulzar depicts how Indian Army surpassed challenges during the 1971 War of Pakistan under the Sam Bachadar,
which takes place during Indo-Pak war, describes how General Sam Manekshaw and Indian army freed Bangaladesh. The movie was directed by Meghna Gulzar and starred Vicky Kaushal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Neeraj Kabi, Edward Sonnenblick, and Zeeshan Ayyub.
Recently, Vicky Kaushal, who was one of the main promoters of the film, posted a video of him dancing the Khukuri with Gorkha soldiers in Lucknow—Gurkha soldiers commonly show such a display pattern. Sam Bahadur will be released under RSVP Movies and produced by Ronnie Screwvala on December 1, 2023.
