Controversy has erupted around the Tamil film ‘Annapoorani’, leading actress Nayanthara to issue a public apology for unintentionally hurting Hindu sentiments. The movie faced backlash for scenes depicting Namaz, promoting love jihad, and distorting the portrayal of Lord Ram and Maa Sita.

In her recent Instagram post, Nayanthara started with a sincere “Jai Shri Ram,” acknowledging the unintended hurt caused by the film. She clarified that the filmmakers aimed to deliver a positive message but, unfortunately, ended up causing distress.

Further intensifying the situation, an FIR was registered against the makers and actors of ‘Annapoorani’ in Madhya Pradesh on January 10 by the Hindu Seva Parishad.
